The plastic pieces for the casing and some of the interior of the printer is loaded as a data file into a 3D printer. Then the different parts are printed out when they are needed. Gears And Other Components

Around 40 crucial parts of a 3D printer will be made by another 3D printer. Many 3D printer manufacturers have printers running around the clock to make parts. Once these parts are ready, they are handed over to a worker who then starts the main stages of assembly. They will take the main gears and control mechanisms and connect them all together, using the ready made plastic parts for housing and casing.

A key component that is put in place at this stage is called the hot end. This piece is designed to melt down the plastic filament before it is used for printing out the different layers of the final object. The hot end is connected to the main gears of the 3D printer and they are put in place by hand.

Putting The Pieces Together

Once all the gears and other mechanical components are put in place using the plastic casing and housing made by the other 3D printers, it is time to put everything together. Once all the gears are secure and held in place by the printed parts, it is time to add the aluminum casing on the printer. Before that, a power cord has to be connected to ensure that the hot end and the motor are powered properly. Protected glass is also then added to the printing bed so then objects have a clean and secure service to be printed onto.

Finally, all that remains is placing a filament cord into the system so then the plastic can be applied properly. While the majority of 3D printers have just one filament cord, some have more than one so then they are able to create objects that have more than one tone of color. This then completes the assembly process and the 3D printer is ready to be used.
